Green Mount Cemetery - Research

Green Mount Cemetery is the last resting place for thousands of former Greene County, Pennsylvania residents. The cemetery has hundreds, if not more, of unmarked graves in addition to the thousands of tombstones and private mausoleums. A volunteer project initiated in 1999 continues today with tombstone and document transcription, individual photograph and biographical data collection, and on-site physical restoration. Participation from the public is encouraged - become a volunteer or share photos and information for an ancestor buried in Green Mount.

The results of the volunteer work are gradually being added to Greene Connections in order to make this data accessible to family and researchers.

Look-ups are welcome and will be answered as volunteer time permits.
