This stone includes both painted and carved writing. The upper portion of the stone is losing the painted detail and it is obvious that parts of the birth and death dates are being lost with it. The numbers that appear to be 4s above were carved as a single straight line that look like the number 1, but it looks like the angle of the 4 was once painted onto the straight line. This detail is so faded now that I cannot be sure, but this discrepancy should be noted when using the gravestone to document Jesse Inghram's birth and death dates.
