Green Mount Cemetery caretaker records list Richard's date of death as April 16, 1910. His death record in the County Clerk's Office at the Greene County Courthouse in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania, (Death Register Book 1: 140) lists his date of death as April 1900, and states that he was 80 years old at the time of his death. The year of death on his tombstone is apparently his birth year, but the exact date of April 20 could be his death date, birth date or a complete error altoghter.

Green Mount Cemetery records also list Richard's wife Nancy buried in this lot, but she is not listed on the stone.
