SOURCE: Louisa Oglevee obituary, Waynesburg Republican, Waynesburg, Pennsylvania, 19 March 1903, page 1, column 7.
"Mrs. Louisa Oglevee died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ella Rinehart, Morris street, Mar. 11, 1903, in her 82nd year. She was born at New Salem, Fayette County, Pa., her maiden name being Allison. She was united in marriage first to Joseph Gilmore, who died in 1854. They had three children, William and John, now deceased, and Mrs. Ella Rinehart, of this place. Later she was married to Jesse Oglevee, of Fayette county, who died in 1876. She had been an invalid for a number of years and made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Rinehart. She had been a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian church for seventy years and was a devout christian woman. Though afflicted with poor health, her disposition was always cheerful and she was a pleasant companion for those around her. She was the last of the family of which she was a member, being a sister of Albert Allison, Mrs. Maria Black, wife of Hon. C. A. Black, and Mrs. Elizabeth Blachley, deceased. Funeral services were held from the home of her daughter on Friday afternoon at two o'clock, services being conducted by Dr. J. M. Howard, assisted by Rev. J. E. Garvin and Dr. J. M. Mealy. Interment in Green Mount cemetery." |
