"Mrs. Ocie Buchanan, 80, of Waynesburg, died at 8 p.m. Saturday, August 30, 1958, after a long illness.

Born Sept. 25, 1877, in Center Township, she was a daughter of William Bowler and Elizabeth Seckman Bowler, both deceased, and spent her entire life in Greene County. Her husband, Lee Buchanan, preceded her in death in 1951.

Formerly a resident of Rogersville, Mrs. Buchanan resided for the past seven years with a daughter, Mrs. Mollie Clark of 245 West College street, Waynesburg.

In addition to Mrs. Clark she is survived by another daughter, Mrs. Mary Owen of West Finley; a son, Roy Buchanan of Waynesburg; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Three children are deceased. She was the last of her family.

Mrs. Buchanan was a member of the Rogersville Christian Church."

"Friends of Mrs. Ocie Buchanan of Waynesburg who died Saturday, August 30, 1958, are being received at the Church-Mariner Funeral Home, 197 North Maiden street, Waynesburg, where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2, with Rev. Earl B. King officiating. Burial will follow in Rosemont cemetery, Rogersville."
