Description / Citation: Photograph of North Ward School students in Waynesburg, Greene County, Pennsylvania. Handwritten inscription on back of photograph appears to indicate that it was taken while Leah Abigail (Crago) Waddell was in the first grade; however, she has not been identified. Original, professional photograph, no photographer listed. The Various Series photographs represent several families, as well as friends, schools and organizations. Perhaps as many as six generations are displayed from the 1840s to the 1930s, each generation having added to the collection with photographs from their own family and social ties. The photographs were passed from Louis Morton Waddell, Jr. [1900-1963] and his wife, Leah Abigail Crago [1902-1962], to their daughter Margaret Leah (Waddell) Baker who owned and shared the photographs with the Greene Connections: Greene County, Pennsylvania Photo Archives Project between 2006 and 2008. The Various Series is a part of the Margaret Leah (Waddell) Baker Collection.
