"Mrs. Eliza Kent, widow of John T. Kent, deceased, died at her home on Washington street, Saturday morning, February 11, aged 80 years, of infirmities incident to advanced years. She had been in failing health for several years and had been confined to her room for nearly eighteen months. Mrs. Kent was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Bell, deceased, of Franklin township. She was a member of the Christian church and was highly esteemed by her many friends. She is survived by one brother, Thomas Bell, of Franklin township, and a sister, Mrs. Adam Gordon, who resides in Whiteley township. The funeral services were held Monday at 1: 30 o'clock, conducted by the Rev. J. M. Scholes. Interment in Green Mount cemetery." |
