Description / Citation: Handwritten
inscription on back of photo is difficult to read, but appears to say,
"Friendly Weaver" or "Timothy Weaver." Original, professional photograph
from Cargo, Photographer, Dispatch Buildings, 69 Fifth St., near to the
P. Office, Pittsburgh. The Weaver-Regester Series photographs were passed
from Jacob Weaver [1821-1918] and his wife, Sarah Regester [1823-1898]
to their daughter Mary Elizabeth (Weaver) Watson [1846-1924] to her daughter
Tennie Lee (Watson) Doty [1888-1969] to her son Wilbert Glenn Doty [1921-1981]
to his son Roger Glenn Doty who owned and shared the photographs with the
Greene Connections: Greene County, Pennsylvania Photo Archives Project
in 2007. The Weaver-Regester Series is a part of the Roger Glenn Doty Collection.
