"Wedding Bells A very pleasant wedding occurred at the home of the bride on West College street, Thursday, October 18, at 2:15 p. m. The contracting parties were Mr. G. H. Elms and Miss Eva Morris. At the appointed hour a wedding march was well rendered by Mrs. Will C. Farabee, and the happy couple attended by Mr. and Mrs. S. O. Van Cleve, entered the beautifully decorated parlor, and took their respective places under the emblem of good luck--the horse-shoe. The ceremony was performed by Rev. A. B. Miller, D. D., assisted by Rev. Dr. Goodknight. A number of guests were present to witness the happy event. A large table was covered with valuable wedding presents. After receiving the congratulations of many friends, the happy couple started on a wedding tour. They will make an extensive trip westward after which they will return and make their home in Waynesburg. Mr. Elms is an industrious and successful mechanic, being a member of the firm Elms Bros. His bride is a respected young lady and many friends here. We offer them our best wishes and congratulations and hope they may enjoy a bright and prosperous future." |
