BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH OF GARNET (WATSON) BRISTOR Garnet (Watson) Bristor was born 28 June 1899 in Holbrook, Center Township, Greene County, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Smith Watson [1875-1922] and Frances Ankrom [1875-1956]. Garnet was an educated woman, having graduated from Center Township High School in 1918 and Waynesburg College Business School in 1919. On 10 March 1920, she was united in marriage with Read Rollins Bristor [1896-1978], a native of West Virginia. Read and Garnet were the parents of three sons: Gerald, Donald and Lawrence Rollins. Garnet passed away in February 1995, at the age of 95. SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE The Garnet (Watson) Bristor Collection photographs were passed from Garnet (Watson) Bristor [1899-1995] to her sons Donald Bristor and Lawrence Rollins Bristor who owned and shared the photographs with the Greene Connections: Greene County, Pennsylvania Photo Archives Project in 2007. The collection was initially arranged by family; however, additional photos continue to be added to the end of the collection as they are shared for scanning.
