OVERVIEW OF THE COLLECTION Creator:
Candice
Lynn Buchanan BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH OF CANDICE LYNN BUCHANAN Candice Lynn Buchanan descends from two centuries of Greene County, Pennsylvania families on nearly all family lines. Her personal search for ancestors thus easily became a mission to tie Greene County families back together again. The few treasured photographs that passed through various relatives to Candice over the years of research have increased her interest in genealogy and prompted her to pursue education that would better enable photograph identification, preservation and access. Consequently, Candice’s photograph collection includes Greene County connected subjects well beyond her immediate family. SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE Many of the photographs in the Candice Lynn Buchanan Collection were passed down through family connections; others were added through auctions and donations. The collection has been divided into series according to provenance. Each series has been arranged by family or topic; additional photos continue to be added to the end of the series as they are shared for scanning.
