BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH OF KATHERINE (MYERS) GRIMES

Katherine (Myers) Grimes is the widow of George Orndoff Grimes, a son of Orville Othello Grimes and his wife, Carrie Lee Orndoff. George was a descendant of the Grimes, Huffman, Orndoff, Ridgway, Roberts and related families of Greene County, Pennsylvania.

SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE

The Katherine (Myers) Grimes Collection photographs were passed from Peter Martin Grimes [1823-1896] and his wife, Maria Ridgeway [1820-1912], to their son George Washington Grimes [1859-1938] and his first wife, Elizabeth Eleanor "Ella" Roberts [1862-1904], to their son Orville Othello Grimes [1896-1973] and his wife, Carrie Lee Orndoff [1897-1979], to their son George Orndoff Grimes and his wife, Katherine Myers, who with her nephew Judge H. Terry Grimes, owned and shared the photographs with the Greene Connections: Greene County, Pennsylvania Photo Archives Project in 2006. Each generation added to the collection with photographs from their own family and in-laws.

The photographs in this collection were initially arranged by family; however, additional photos continue to be added to the end of the collection as they are shared for scanning. For best results, use the GRIM Collection Index to look for specific individuals or subjects.
