DONNA (JOHNSON) JAKOBSSON
COLLECTION
OVERVIEW OF THE COLLECTION Creator: Donna
(Johnson) Jakobsson
BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH OF DONNA (JOHNSON) JAKOBSSON Donna (Johnson) Jakobsson descends from the Johnson, Raynor, Ulery, Wolf and related families of Greene and Washington Counties, Pennsylvania. SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE The Donna (Johnson) Jakobsson Collection has been divided into four series: Johnson, Album 1, Album 2, and Album 3. The Johnson Series was initially arranged by family; the Album 1 Series, which began largely unidentified and without original order, is unarranged; the Album 3 Series and Album 4 Series are in their original order so that photographs are presented as they appear in the albums. Additional photographs continue to be added to the end of each series as they are shared for scanning. Consequently, it is best to use the JAKB Collection Index to look for specific individuals or subjects. *The Johnson Series (Catalogue Code: AN001) photographs were passed from Zephaniah Johnson [1812-1895] and his first wife, Rachel Ulery [1819-1853], to their son George Johnson [1842-1914] and his wife, Ellen Janette Robertson [1850-1904], to their son Lawrence W. Johnson [1892-1953] and his wife, Claire Baker [1896-1999], to their daughter Donna (Johnson) Jakobsson. Photographs in this series with unidentified or unverified subjects are as follows, if you can help to identify them, please email Candice Buchanan: # JAKB_AN001_0005, # JAKB_AN001_0006. *The Album 1 Series (Catalogue Code: AN002) photographs are in a photograph album that probably once belonged to Phoebe Jane (Johnson) Rhodes [1846-1942] - wife of Othaniel Rhodes [1849-1923], daughter of George Wolf Johnson [1818-1900] and his wife, Eunice Smith [1821-1888]. The album was passed among relatives and ultimately given to Donna (Johnson) Jakobsson, a descendant of George Wolf Johnson's brother Zephaniah Johnson. Photographs in this series with unidentified or unverified subjects are as follows, if you can help to identify them, please email Candice Buchanan: ALMOST ALL ARE UNIDENTIFIED. *The Album 2 Series (Catalogue Code: AN003) photographs are in a photograph album that probably once belonged to Phoebe Jane (Johnson) Rhodes [1846-1942] - wife of Othaniel Rhodes [1849-1923], daughter of George Wolf Johnson [1818-1900] and his wife, Eunice Smith [1821-1888].
