BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH OF ELIZABETH JANE (FRY) HUFFMAN

Elizabeth Jane (Fry) Huffman was born 23 July 1877 in Greene County, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Eli Milton Fry and Mary Elizabeth (Roupe) Fry. She was united in marriage with Benjamin Franklin Huffman, the son of Benjamin Franklin Huffman and Mary (Penn) Huffman. Together they raised a family of seven children. Elizabeth passed away in 1977, having passed her 100th birthday.

SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE

The Elizabeth Jane (Fry) Huffman Collection photographs were passed from Eli Milton Fry [1851-1940] and his wife, Mary Elizabeth Roupe [1856-1928], to their daughter Elizabeth Jane Fry [1877-1977] and her husband, Benjamin Franklin Huffman [1875-1939]. Elizabeth added photographs from her own family and in-laws before she passed the collection to her great-grandson Ed Reed who owned and shared the photographs with the Greene Connections: Greene County, Pennsylvania Photo Archives Project in 2005.

The collection was initially arranged by family; however, additional photos continue to be added to the end of the collection as they are shared for scanning. For best results, use the REEE Collection Index to look for specific individuals or subjects.
