BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH OF JESSICA ISABELLE (REES) HUSTON

Jessica Isabelle (Rees) Huston was born 14 April 1893 in Rees Mill, Mineral County, West Virginia. She was one of seven children born to James Buchanon Rees and his first wife, Elizabeth Furr. On 1 September 1922, she was married to Myron Ellsworth Huston with whom she raised two daughters. Jessica passed away on 18 January 1966 in Washington, D. C.

SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE

The Jessica Isabelle (Rees) Huston Collection is a family photograph collection. The earliest photographs date to the 1860s and proceed to follow the family through several generations into the 1950s. The photographs were passed from James Buchanon Rees [1858-1930] and his first wife, Elizabeth Furr [1857-1903] to their daughter Jessica Isabelle (Rees) Huston [1893-1966] to her daughter Maryalys Ann (Huston) Hopkins who with her daughter Janna Alysabeth (Hopkins) Hartsock owned and shared the photographs with the Greene Connections: Greene County, Pennsylvania Photo Archives Project in 2007.

The photographs in this collection were initially arranged by family; however, additional photos continue to be added to the end of the collection as they are shared for scanning. For best results, use the REES Collection Index to look for specific individuals or subjects.
