BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH OF RUSSELL RINEHART

Russell Rinehart was born 21 July 1907 in Jackson Township, Greene County, Pennsylvania, the son of William Austin Rinehart [1879-1954] and his wife, Lucretia Milliken [1881-1908]. On 26 May 1931, he was united in marriage with Kathleen Snider, daughter of Albert M. Snider and his wife, Eva Morris. Together Russell and Kathleen raised three children, George Russell Rinehart, Beverly (Rinehart) Rutherford, and Albert "Albie" Rinehart.

SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE

The Russell Rinehart Collection photographs were passed from Russell Rinehart [1907-1977] and his wife, Kathleen Snider [1913-1996], to their children, George Russell Rinehart, Beverly (Rinehart) Rutherford, and Albert "Albie" Rinehart, who owned and shared the photographs with the Greene Connections: Greene County, Pennsylvania Photo Archives Project in 2008.

The collection has been divided into three series: Rinehart, Moore and Milliken.

The series were initially arranged by family; however, additional photos continue to be added to the end of the series as they are shared for scanning. For best results, use the RINE Collection Index to look for specific individuals or subjects.

*The Rinehart Series (Catalogue Code: AN001) photographs feature descendants of Elisha Rinehart [1829-1917] and his wife, Catherine Moninger [1829-1903].
