BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH OF WILLIAM ALFRED THROCKMORTON

William Alfred Throckmorton descends from the Anderson, Harvey, McGlumphy, Thomas, Throckmorton, Watson and related families of Greene County, Pennsylvania.

SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE

The William Alfred Throckmorton Collection photographs have been divided into two series: Throckmorton-Watson (William’s family) and Murdock-Davis (William’s in-laws).

The series were initially arranged by family; however, additional photos continue to be added to the end of the series as they are shared for scanning. For best results, use the THRO Collection Index to look for specific individuals or subjects.

*The Throckmorton-Watson Series (Catalogue Code: AN001) photographs were passed from Robert Lawrence Throckmorton, Sr. [1889-1964] and his wife, Ella May Watson [1893-1988], to their son William Alfred Throckmorton who owned and shared the photographs with the Greene Connections: Greene County, Pennsylvania Photo Archives Project in 2007.

*The Murdock-Davis Series (Catalogue Code: AN002) photographs were passed from Zachariah Lee "Ted" Murdock [1882-1969] and his wife, Clara E. Davis [1889-1982], to their daughter Sara Sue Murdock [1925-2006] and her husband, William Alfred Throckmorton, who owned and shared the photographs with the Greene Connections: Greene County, Pennsylvania Photo Archives Project in 2007.
