BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH OF THELMA (WHITE) YEAGER

Thelma (White) Yeager descends from the Cummins, Patterson, Spragg, White and related families of Greene County, Pennsylvania.

SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE

The Thelma (White) Yeager Collection has been divided into four series: Patterson, Spragg, White and Cummins.

The series were initially arranged by family; however, additional photos continue to be added to the end of the series as they are shared for scanning. Consequently, it is best to use the YEAT Collection Index to look for specific individuals or subjects.

*The Patterson Series (Catalogue Code: AN001) photographs were passed from James L. Patterson [1830-1912] and his wife, Susan Grove [1830-1919], to their son James Lindsey Patterson [1860-1914] and his wife, Jennie Spragg [1861-1922], to their daughters, Blanche Susan (Patterson) Cummins [1890-1981] and Pearle Loreno (Patterson) White [1900-1987], both of whom passed their photographs to Pearle's granddaughter Thelma (White) Yeager who owned and shared the photographs with the Greene Connections: Greene County, Pennsylvania Photo Archives Project in 2005. Each generation added to the collection with photographs from their own family and in-laws.

*The Spragg Series (Catalogue Code: AN002) photographs were passed from Lorenzo Dow Spragg [1834-1911] and his wife, Susan Owens [1839-1919], to their daughter Jennie Spragg [1861-1922] and her husband, James Lindsey Patterson [1860-1914], to their daughters, Blanche Susan (Patterson) Cummins [1890-1981] and Pearle Loreno (Patterson) White [1900-1987], both of whom passed their photographs to Pearle's granddaughter Thelma (White) Yeager who owned and shared the photographs with the Greene Connections: Greene County, Pennsylvania Photo Archives Project in 2005. Each generation added to the collection with photographs from their own family and in-laws.

*The White Series (Catalogue Code: AN003) photographs were passed from Dennis F. White [1851-1897] and his wife, Priscilla John [1849-1935], to their son David J. White [1874-1950] and his wife, Emma Jane Cummins [1875-1961], to their son Dennis Inghram White [1900-1981] and his wife, Pearle Loreno (Patterson) White [1900-1987], to their granddaughter Thelma (White) Yeager who owned and shared the photographs with the Greene Connections: Greene County, Pennsylvania Photo Archives Project in 2005. Each generation added to the collection with photographs from their own family and in-laws.

*The Cummins Series (Catalogue Code: AN002) photographs were passed from William Cummins [1817-1897] and his wife, Catharine (Ashburn) Cummins [1820-1912], to their son Inghram C. Cummins [1847-1942] and his wife, Margaret Sarah Wood [1844-1918], to their daughter Emma Jane Cummins [1875-1961] and her husband, David J. White [1874-1950], to their son Dennis Inghram White [1900-1981] and his wife, Pearle Loreno (Patterson) White [1900-1987], to their granddaughter Thelma (White) Yeager who owned and shared the photographs with the Greene Connections: Greene County, Pennsylvania Photo Archives Project in 2005.
