"Miss Mary A. Goodwin, aged 75 years, who practically all of her life in the Wind Ridge section, died Friday evening, August 4, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Lyon, Rock Lick, W. Va. She had been an invalid for the past five years. Miss Goodwin was a daughter of Daniel and Julia Braden Goodwin, and was born February 17, 1858. She was the last member of her family. She had for many years been a devout member of the South Wheeling Baptist church, of Ryerson Station. The following nieces and nephews survive: Mrs. J. D. Durbin and Mrs. J. L. King, of Washington; Mrs. Earl Grandon, Eldorado, Ark.; Raymond and Wilford Goodwin, New Matamoras, O., and Leo Goodwin, Rock Lick, W. Va. The funeral services were held in the South Wheeling Baptist church Sunday afternoon. Interment in the Lazear cemetery." |
