"Mrs. Birdie E. King, wife of James T. King, died in the Waynesburg hospital, Friday morning, May 14, aged 33 years. Mrs. King was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Grimes, West Greene street. She was a member of the First Christian church of Waynesburg and also of the Sunday school and was highly esteemed. Beside her husband and parents she is survived by two daughters, Dorothy, aged five years, and an infant six days old. The funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at their home, West Greene street, conducted by Rev. F. S. Dowdy, assisted by Rev. Franklin Crawford. Interment in Green Mount cemetery."
