"Mrs. Jane K. Adams widow of the late Rev. Jesse Adams, deceased, died at her home a mile north of Waynesburg, Saturday, June 26, about 4 p. m., of dropsy. Mrs. Adams was in her 74th year and was born at Uniontown, Pa., being a daughter of John Gallagher. She had resided here about 31 years and was well known and highly esteemed. She was a kind hearted, christian lady and was always hospitable in her home. She was a member of the C. P. church in which denomination her husband was a minister for many years. She leaves eight children, who mourn the loss of a dear mother, James, Jesse and Mrs. Mary McNay, of this place, John T., of Adamsville, Texas, J. M. of Ava, Mo., Finis E., of Manefield, Mo., Dr. C. W., of Jefferson, Ohio, and J. B. Adams Esq., of Uniontown, Pa. The funeral was held from her late home on Tuesday at 2 p.m."
