The Johnson Series photographs were passed from Zephaniah Johnson [1812-1895] and his first wife, Rachel Ulery [1819-1853], to their son George Johnson [1842-1914] and his wife, Ellen Janette Robertson [1850-1904], to their son Lawrence W. Johnson [1892-1953] and his wife, Claire Baker [1896-1999], to their daughter Donna (Johnson) Jakobsson who owned and shared the photographs with the Greene Connections: Greene County, Pennsylvania Photo Archives Project in 2006. The Johnson Series is a part of the Donna (Johnson) Jakobsson Collection.
