Description / Citation: Photograph of George Mason Jewell [1836-1915] - husband of Malinda Meek, son of Samuel Jewell & Eliza Anne Johnson. Original, professional photograph, no photographer listed. The Album 2 Series photographs are in a photograph album that probably once belonged to Phoebe Jane (Johnson) Rhodes [1846-1942] - wife of Othaniel Rhodes [1849-1923], daughter of George Wolf Johnson [1818-1900] and his wife, Eunice Smith [1821-1888]. The album was passed among relatives and ultimately given to Donna (Johnson) Jakobsson, a descendant of George Wolf Johnson's brother Zephaniah Johnson, who owned and shared the photographs with the Greene Connections: Greene County, Pennsylvania Photo Archives Project in 2008. The Album 2 Series is a part of the Donna (Johnson) Jakobsson Collection.
