"Mrs. Elizabeth Fry, widow of William Fry, deceased, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Jesse Summersgill, near Waynesburg, Monday, evening, June 9, aged 69 years, of a complication of diseases. Mrs. Fry's maiden name was Klineberger and she was born in Philadelphia October 20, 1854. After her marriage with William Fry they removed to Waynesburg where the former was employed as an engineer on the Waynesburg & Washington railroad for many years. His death occurred in 1911. Mrs. Fry and daughter, Miss Jane Fry, removed to Sheriden, Pa., in 1917 where they had since resided. Mrs. Fry was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church and was highly esteemed. Three sons and five daughters survive; Homer Fry, Granite City, Ill.; Frank and Edgar Fry, Carnegie, Pa.; Mrs. Jesse Summersgill, Waynesburg, R. D.; Mrs. John Lehman, Robbinsville, N. J.; Mrs. Norman Atkinson, Absecon, N. J.; Mrs. Frank Baily, Kirby, Pa., and Mrs. LeRue Colwell, Sheriden, Pa. One brother, Daniel Klineberger, of Philadelphia, also survives. The funeral services will be held in the First M. E. church Thursday morning at 10:30 o'clock, conducted by the pastor, Dr. F. D. Esenwein. Interment in Green Mount cemetery." |
