"John Kent died at his home in Franklin township, this county, Sunday, February 3, at 4 p. m. Deceased had only been ill about a week, the cause of his death being obstruction of the bowels. He was aged about 55 years and was a highly respected citizen. He was a brother of Spencer Kent, of Franklin township, and William, of Bristoria, Pa., and was a second cousin of Sheriff Kent, of this place."
