"By a mistake we omitted to notice the death of Mrs. Elizabeth Jacobs of Waynesburg which took place on Friday the 22nd ult. at the residence of Mr. George Ganiear. She was in her 77th year, and died of cancer of the breast. The deceased was the widow of Matthew Jacobs, the mother of Henry Jacobs, of this place, and Mrs. Elizabeth Kent, of Smith Creek. Mrs. Jacobs was a noble christian lady and during her long and intense suffering bore her lot with submissive resignation, and when death come she was ready. The deceased leaves a record that will live after her, and the ennobling influences of her many good traits of character will be evidences that she has not lived in vain. The funeral took place on Saturday, the remains being interred in Greene Mount cemetery."
