"Mrs. Eva Elms, wife of J. Harvey Elms, died at her home on College street, Friday evening, January 17, 1902. Deceased had for several years been a sufferer from pulmonary trouble, having spent a year or more at Asheville, N. C., for the benefit of her health. She was about forty years of age and was a daughter of Robert Morris, deceased. She was a highly esteemed christian woman, genial in manner and possessing a heart full of kindness. Beside her husband she leaves two little daughters who have the sympathy of all in their loss. Funeral was held Sunday at 3 p. m., services by Rev. J. E. Garvin and Dr. J. M. Howard. N. W. Carter, funeral director. Interment in Green Mount cemetery." |
