"An Ex-Sheriff Dead. -- Ex-Sheriff Henry Silveus died at his late residence at Ryerson Station, Richhill township, this county on Friday of last week. Mr. Silveus had been in failing health with consumption, which finally terminated in death as above stated. His term of office as sheriff expired a little more than a year ago. He made a good officer, and was an honest man. He leaves a wife and a respected family of sons and daughters to mourn his loss.

He was buried on Sunday in the honors of Free Masonry.

It is a remarkable fact that the four sheriffs preceding the present incumbent are dead."
