Description / Citation: Tintype photograph of Elizabeth (Bowlby) Worley with her first husband whose name is unknown. Elizabeth Bowlby married David Worley circa 1879, so her first marriage occurred before that date. Handwritten inscription on album page reads, "Mrs Worley & 1st Husband." Original, professional photograph, no photographer listed. The Catherine Miranda (Staggers) Bowlby Collection photographs were acquired and preserved by friends of the Bowlby family who owned and shared the photographs with the Greene Connections: Greene County, Pennsylvania Photo Archives Project in 2005. Ownership information has been kept private upon request. Catherine Miranda (Staggers) Bowlby [1855-1941] was the wife of Sebastian Bowlby, and the daughter of Lisbon Leander Staggers [1820-1909] and his first wife, Eliza Jane Mooney [1820-1864].
