"Mrs. Jane S. Kent, widow of W. T. Kent, deceased, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Catherine Hughes of near Bristoria, Saturday evening, January 15, aged about 75 years, of paralysis followed by pneumonia. Mrs. Kent formerly resided in East Waynesburg, but for the past two years had made her home with her daughter. She was a member of the Church of God and was highly esteemed. Three children survive, George Kent, of Washington, Pa.; John Kent, of Elm Grove, W. Va., and Mrs. Hughes. One brother, Thomas Simington, of Waynesburg, and a sister, Mrs. John Strosnider, of Garfield, Ill., also survive. The remains were brought on Tuesday afternoon to the home of her brother, Thomas Simington, on South Morris street, where the funeral services were held Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock, conducted by the Rev. J. P. Allison. Interment was made in Oakmont cemetery."
