Description / Citation: Carte-de-Visite
photograph of James Thomas [1805-1889] - husband of Elizabeth Ridgeway
[1811-1894]. Original, professional photograph from Rogers Brothers, Photographers,
Opposite Public Square, Waynesburg, Pa. This CDV is most likely a reproduction
of an earlier 1850s era photograph. The McGlumphy Series photographs were
passed from William Harvey Throckmorton [1850-1921] and his wife, Lucy
Jane McGlumphy [1861-1933] to their daughter Mary “Mamie” (Throckmorton)
Bonham [1887-1974] to her niece Maggie Belle (Hartzell) (Rush) Conklin
who owned and shared the photographs with the Greene Connections: Greene
County, Pennsylvania Photo Archives Project in 2008. The McGlumphy Series
is a part of the Mary “Mamie” (Throckmorton) Bonham Collection.
