photograph of Margaret Lee (Toothman) Wilson - wife of Fred Martin Wilson,
daughter of Thornton Jacob Toothman & Martha Jane Hoult. Original,
professional photograph from Israel Forman, Portrait & Landscape Photographer,
Fairmont, W. Va. This photograph is in an album that was donated by Glenn
Jacob Roy Thornton Toothman, Jr., to the Greene County Historical Society
(918 Rolling Meadows Road, P.O. Box 127; Waynesburg, Pennsylvania 15370).
The Toothman-Hoult Series probably began with Martha Jane (Hoult) Toothman
[1850-1931], wife of Thornton Jacob Toothman [1847-1896], and daughter
of John Cunningham Hoult & Susanna Bare. Martha’s photographs likely
passed to her daughter, Margaret Lee (Toothman) Wilson [1882-1970] and
her husband, Fred Martin Wilson [1877-1967], who never had children and
consequently passed the photographs to Margaret’s grandnephew Glenn Jacob
Roy Thornton Toothman, Jr. [1920-2001] and his wife, Katherine Jane (Throckmorton)
Toothman who owned and shared the photographs with the Greene Connections:
Greene County, Pennsylvania Photo Archives Project in 2005. Each generation
added to the collection with photographs from their own family and in-laws.
The Toothman-Hoult Series is a part of the Katherine Jane (Throckmorton)
Toothman Collection.
