The Rees Series photographs were passed from James Buchanon Rees [1858-1930]
and his first wife, Elizabeth "Bettie" Furr [1857-1903], to their daughter
Elsie Huffman Rees [1890-1982] and her husband, Glenn Jacob Roy Thornton
Toothman Sr. [1891-1967], to their son Melvin Lee Toothman who owned and
shared the photographs with the Greene Connections: Greene County, Pennsylvania
Photo Archives Project in 2007. Each generation added to the collection
with photographs from their own family and in-laws. The Rees Series is
a part of the Melvin Lee Toothman Collection.
