"Waynesburg High School Teacher Becomes Bride Katherine Throckmorton And Glenn R. Toothman Wed At Winchester Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Throckmorton of Holbrook, Pa., announce the marriage of their daughter, Katherine Jane, to Glenn R. Toothman II, of Washington, Pa., formerly of Clarksburg, W. Va. They were married in Winchester, Va., April 3, at 7 p. m. by Rev. Ronald Wilson of the Presbyterian Church. The double ring ceremony was used. There were no attendants. The bride chose a navy blue ensemble for the occasion with white accessories. She wore a corsage of gardenias. The bridegroom graduated from Potomac State School at Keyser, W. Va. in 1940 and will graduate from Hampden-Sydney College at Hampden-Sydney, Va., in May. He is a member of Pi Kappa Alpha National Social Fraternity, a member of Omicron Delta Kappa National Honorary Fraternity, and of Sigma Upsilon honorary literary fraternity. He was prominent in both football and basketball and was chosen in the 1941 Who's Who of American Colleges and Universities. The bride graduated from Center Township Vocational High School in 1937, Potomac State Teachers' College at Keyser in 1939, and from W. Va. Univ. at Morgantown, W. Va., in 1941, where she was a member of Beta Chapter of Alpha Delta Pi, National Social Sorority, of Kappa Beta and Home Economics Club. She is now teaching home economics in Waynesburg High School where she plans to continue her work." |
