"A Pleasant Wedding

At 1:30 last Thursday afternoon, a pleasant wedding took place at the home of Mrs. Sarah Elms, Franklin street, her daughter Miss Frances E., being united in marriage with Mr. Samuel O. VanCleve, this place. Mr. Harvey Elms, a brother of the bride, and Miss Eva Morris were attendants. The ceremony was performed in a graceful manner by Rev. A. W. Robertson, pastor of the M. P. church, at New Cumberland, W. Va. The guests consisted of near relatives of both families. Congratulations were freely offered and a half hour pleasantly passed when another matrimonial event took place, in which some of the same parties were principals, an account of which we give in a separate notice.

Mr. VanCleve is Assistant Postmaster here, and a genial and well-to-do young man. His bride is highly esteemed.

We extend our congratulations and wish for the young couple a happy and prosperous life."
