"Mrs. Elizabeth Hook, widow of James P. Hook, deceased, of Waynesburg, died at her home in Pittsburgh, Tuesday, June 23, aged 76 years. Her maiden name was Blaine. For a number of years she with her husband and family resided on the farm now owned by A. I. Cooke, south of town. She removed to Pittsburgh about thirty years ago. Mrs. Hook was a member of the Presbyterian church and was most highly esteemed. Two daughters survive, Mrs. Lucy McCook and Mrs. Fanny Johnson, both of Pittsburgh. Mrs. Rebecca Hook, R. F. Downey, F. W. Downey, C. E. Bower, George Hook and U. G. Inghram, of Waynesburg are relatives. The remains will be brought to Waynesburg today and interment will be made in Green Mount cemetery." |
