"The subject of this notice died at the residence of her husband, Dr. Cary, in Prosperity, Washington county, Pa., last Saturday morning at 3:30 a. m. of consumption. Mrs. Cary, well known to many citizens of Waynesburg as Lizzie Day, was a daughter of Elias Day, deceased, and a graduate of Waynesburg College, making many friends while a student here. She was a model young woman as also a model wife and mother, and leaves two small children to mourn the irreparable loss of a mother's love and a mother's care. Her remains were interred on Sunday at the burying ground at old Concord church."
