Dr. Paul R. Stewart, President of Waynesburg College 1921-1963, as part of his effort to preserve the college’s history, created the Matriculation Cards prior to 1934 - the date stamped on the earliest cards.

The source of the information on this card is unnamed. Many cards in the collection were signed by their compilers; typically the cards were completed by the graduates themselves or family members of the graduates who had already passed away. It is presumable that graduates or family members also completed the unsigned cards.
