"Miss Fannie L. Minor died at her home on North Richhill street, Thursday afternoon, February 25, at 3 o'clock, following a three months' illness from a complication of diseases. A daughter of Lawrence and Maria Chambers Minor, deceased, she was born at Parkersburg, W. Va., May 6, 1852, but spent the greater part of her life in Waynesburg, where her parents resided. She was a graduate of Waynesburg college in the class of 1873. Miss Minor was a former member of the Cumberland Presbyterian church but later transferred her membership to the First Christian church. She is survived by one sister, Miss Minerva Minor, at home, who is the last of a family of nine children. She also leaves two nephews, Lawrence Day, of Washington, D.C., and Lewis Day, of Waynesburg. The funeral services were held Saturday at 2:30 p.m., conducted by Rev. F. S. Doudy, assisted by Rev. James E. Wilson. Interment in Green Mount cemetery." |
