"Dr. Charles R. Meek '10 died suddenly Saturday, August 2, 1958, at his home in Lorain, Ohio.

Dr. Meek was a son of Cephas and Jane Loar Meek and was born February 13, 1887, at Holbrook, Greene County. He married Miss Nettie Waychoff, daughter of the late Professor and Mrs. Andrew J. Waychoff of Waynesburg. Dr. Meek had resided most of his life at Lorain where he was a member of the First Methodist Church. He had instructed nursing classes at Lorain Hospital and was a member of the Lorain Board of Health, having served for some years as health commissioner. Dr. Meek was an active Mason and was a member of the F. & A. M. Lodge No. 552, Knights Templar Commandery No. 65, and El Koron Shrine, in Cleveland, Ohio.

Surviving are his wife; one son, Charles J. Meek, of Lorain; one daughter, Mrs. Cemantha Jane Egan, residing in the state of Washington; nine grandchildren; one brother, James Meek of San Diego, California; and two sisters, Mrs. Thelma Carpenter of Holbrook, and Mrs. Mildred Stewart of Athens, Ohio."
