"Caroline Scott Lynch, of 190 South Washington Street, Waynesburg, died at 4 p.m. Sunday, November 24, 1974 in the Washington Hospital Extended Care Facility, Washington.

Born February 23, 1896 at Waynesburg, she was the daughter of George and Frances Ledwith Scott, and was married September 8, 1923 to D. Webster Lynch, who died in 1973.

Having spent most of her life in the Waynesburg Community, she was a member of the First Presbyterian Church there.

She graduated from Waynesburg College with both a bachelor of Arts degree and a degree in music. She instructed her first pupil on playing the piano when she was only 12 years old, and continued to teach piano and organ for many years after that.

After she graduated from college, she played for a year with a Ladies String Ensemble from Redpath Chatauqua.

Mrs. Lynch served as the organist at the First Presbyterian Church, Waynesburg, for 25 years, and while a resident of Mt. Lebanon, she played for" [obit cut off here.]
