"On Tuesday, June ninth, Mr. Edwin Stanton Bayard, of East End, Pittsburgh, and Miss Mary Virginia Kerr were united in marriage at Derry, Pa. The ceremony took place at 1:30 p. m. in the M. E. church, the father of the bride, Rev. N. P. Kerr, officiating, assisted by Rev. J. M. Howard, D. D., of Waynesburg. After the ceremony a wedding luncheon was served at the home of the bride and the young couple left on a five o'clock train for Quebec and other Canadian cities. Both young people have many friends here, having formerly been residents of Waynesburg. Mr. Bayard has for several years been one [of the] editors of the National Stockman and Farmer, Pittsburgh, and has made a success in his profession. The bride is an accomplished young lady and has won distinction as an artist and illustrator. The Republican and many friends extend congratulations and wish for them uncounted happiness and prosperity." |
