"At the home of the bride in East Waynesburg, Thursday morning, June 24, at 5:30 o'clock, was solemnized the marriage of Miss Belva L. Ayres and Mr. J. Ross Burns, of Waynesburg. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. L. S. Wilkinson, pastor of the Methodist Episcopal church, in the presence of only the immediate relatives. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hutson Ayres, deceased, and has been a successful teacher in the Waynesburg public schools for two years. The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Burns, of West Main street, and is associated with his father in business. Both Mr. and Mrs. Burns are graduates of Waynesburg college, in the class of 1907. After the ceremony the young couple left on the 6:25 train for an extended wedding trip through New York state. Upon their return they will reside in Waynesburg." |
