For as long as I can remember I was told that our family was descended from Robert Morris, the signer of the Declaration of Independence.  I no longer think that is true.  My mother tried for many years to find more information about her great-grandfather Robert Morris.  She was not able to do so and I haven't discovered anything either. My mom is gone and there are no older relatives to help and now I would like to find some answers. There is also a family story that David Milligan Morris help build Waynesburg College and that his descendants had a perpetual scholarship. I haven't seen any proof of that. I hope that there is somebody out there with some answers.
