I have always had an interest in history and genealogy and have been doing research for 20-25 years. I am past President of the George Washington Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution and also serve as a state officer in the Pennsylvania Society of that organization. I am also a member of the Ohio Valley Heritage Roundtable and the Independent Order of the Odd Fellows. I currently serve as a member of the Board of Directors of the Odd Fellows Hall Association. I am retired from Consol Coal with 25 years of service.

My Greene County Connections go back to Revolutionary War times with Capt. James Archer, Robert McClelland, and Lazarus Timmons. Many are spoken of in the Ten Mile book by Howard Leckey.

My wife's family extends to the Baldwins, Barnharts, Parkinsons, Sayers, and Yohos of Greene County. Although I haven't done a lot of research on my wife's side, that is the bulk of material I have. Which consists of photographs, obituaries, funeral cards, miscellaneous papers, and the family Bible of William J. Barnhart [1878-1965] which was presented to him by his son in 1938 and which has birth dates back to 1864.
