My interest in family genealogy was stimulated by my grandfather, Elwood Garret Watson Sr., and my dad, Elwood Garret Watson Jr. I was fascinated by the research my granfather did and by his notes and writings. This was further enhanced by attending some of the Watson Reunions during my teenage years. My dad always would speak and provide stories about "The old time Watsons." As a now retired Status Air Force captain I always had a particular interest in the military backgrounds in the Watson family. As my dad became older he passed along to me many of the family photos, notes, research, and documents from our family, it was my pleasure to share them to be archived and documented as these remain cherished items from our family.
