Greene Connections is all about linking the pieces of past lives together: reconnecting places, facts, details and faces. Every kind of material on this web site has a direct connection to the history and people of Greene County, Pennsylvania; this includes ancestors and descendants who may not have resided here themselves, but who are connected to families who lived in Greene County at some point prior to 1930.

The Greene Connections goal is to help researchers and relatives revisit and reassemble their personal history. Every project on the site has unique sub-goals, but ultimately all of the projects, just like most all of the Greene County families, end up connecting to one another. The ability to follow links between the projects and families throughout the site is the whole “Connections” idea.

This site is intended for participation from other researchers and relatives in order to identify unknown photographs; share unique family records like Bibles, diaries, letters, and, of course, pictures; and to improve genealogical information. Credit is given to all contributors accordingly.

Research & Accessibility

All photos and data on this site are free and have been researched and compiled on a volunteer basis. Source citations and research credits are listed throughout the site either on the page directly or by clicking on the linked endnote numbers.
